About Me My name is Dayna Huor and I was born and raised in Davenport, IA. I started the martial arts at home when I was 2 1/2 years old , learning TaeKwonDo and karate from my dad Ken and my brother Brendon. When I was 3 years old I started going to regular TaeKwonDo, gymnastics and swimming classes and then started formal Shorei-Ryu Karate classes at the age of 4 years old. I got my black belt in Taekwondo when I was 7, and I got my black belt in Karate when I was 9. Currently I am a 3rd-degree black belt in Taekwondo and a 1st-degree black belt in Karate. I intensify my extreme martial arts training both locally in my home town in the Quad-Cities at Jai Johnson's Karate Center and at Sharkey's Karate Studio in Naperville, Illinois with my brother Brendon Huor, Matt Mullins, Mike Chat, John Sharkey Jr. and Craig Henningsen. I am a 20-time world champion in NASKA, a 1-time ISKA World Champion, and a world champion Gold Medalist from the 2008 WKA World Championships. Currently, I am an honored Team Paul Mitchell member and I have been competing on the NASKA circuit for 5 years as a black belt, but I have also competed for 5 years as a young color belt prior to that, starting at the age of 4. I have appeared on the talk show "the Ellen Degeneres show" with the Sideswipe Kids, as well as numerous football game half-time shows with Sideswipe and countless other major Sideswipe shows throughout the country. I have also appeared on "America's Got Talent" with the Sideswipe group as well, and I have been featured in a martial arts school TV commercial, a NIKE TV commercial, and a 5-minute short film called "Sweet Tooth" featuring my brother Brendon as well. In other media I have been featured in Warwick Beacon Newspaper in Rhode Island and numerous times in magazine articles in the TaeKwonDo Times Magazine and Budo International Magazine. Currently myself and fellow NASKA competitors and friends Tyler Weaver Jr. and Caitlin Dechelle have been selected to be featured in a full-length movie as the main characters called "Champions of the Deep", which may be shown in selected theaters and DVD. I have just turned 14-years old and hope to continue competing until I have competed in the adult division like my brother Brendon.
